Thick, pyramidal, dark brown, upper three or four whorls grey due to eroded; whorls gradually inflated from apex to body whorl, shell width about 1.4–1.6 times the maximum width except for the body whorl; suture shallow; body whorl with slim ridges; yellow-green band under suture, spiral whorl with dark brown bars. Apex pointed or eroded, remaining 8–11 whorls. Umbilicus closed.Aperture scallop shape, inner lip whitish blue and outer lip black in color.Operculum Oval with six or seven whorls and sub-central nucleus.head and foot black. Mantle edgestraight and black. Snout cylindrical, anterior margin flat.Length of tentacles equal to snout length, base at side of snout base. Ommatophore short and flat located basal of each tentacle. Columellar muscle thick.
